Molly Garrett is an artist, curator, collaborator and friend living in Kansas City, MO.

Currently, they are a co-director & curator at Plug Projects, as well as an interactive designer for GPSImpact, a political advocacy firm. At GPSImpact, their clients include non-profit and political organizations such as Planned Parenthood, ACLU, Jobs for Justice and PrioritiesUSA.

Molly has been included in film festivals such as Animation Block Party in New York City, Middle of the Map Festival in Kansas City, Soft Center: Films from the Midwest in Asheville, and Somebody’s Reality Fest in St. Louis. They have shown installation pieces regionally at Epsten Gallery, Paragraph Gallery, Vulpes Bastille, La Esquina and the H&R Block Artspace.

Previously, Molly was a resident in the Charlotte Street Foundation Studio Residency, from 2015-2017. In 2015, they also interned with Hint in their animation department. In 2013, Molly spent eight months in Tasmania, Australia studying film at UTAS-Hobart under the direction of Leigh Hobba. From 2012-2013, Molly interned at The Studios Inc, where they assisted in the curation, installation, and production of exhibitions. They have also worked as a studio assistant to filmmaker Benjamin Meade, and interned at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.

Molly graduated with a BFA in Animation and Art History from KCAI in May 2015.
