Bio

Molly Garrett is an artist, curator, collaborator and friend living in Kansas City, MO.

Currently they are an independent animator as well as an interactive designer for GPSImpact, a political advocacy firm. At GPSImpact, their clients include non-profit and political organizations such as Planned Parenthood, ACLU, Jobs for Justice and The Fairness Project.

Molly has been included in film festivals such as Animation Block Party, Melbourne Queer Film Festival, Minneapolis St Paul International Film Festival, and Berlin Feminist Film Week. They have shown installation pieces locally at Epsten Gallery, Paragraph Gallery, Vulpes Bastille, La Esquina and the H&R Block Artspace.

Previously, Molly was a co-director & curator at Plug Projects, an artist-run gallery and project space. They were an artist-in-residence in the Charlotte Street Foundation Studio Residency, from 2015-2017. They have also worked as a studio assistant to filmmaker Benjamin Meade, and interned at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, HINT, and The Studios Inc.

Molly graduated with a BFA in Animation and Art History from KCAI in May 2015.
